This is a small list of verses to learn. If you learn these verses, ensure you know each
one completely before you move onto the next one.
This list may be updated and increased as time permits. If you have verses that have
spoken to you, add them to your list. I have only included the references here. Learn
them from whatever version of the Bible you normally use.
There is a very good scripture memory program from The Navigators called The Topical
Memory System. It contains 60 verses printed on small cards in a large number of
different Bible versions.

Activities
Daily Devotions
II Samuel 23:12, Lamentations 3:22-23
Shammah took a stand in a plot of ground and defended it. He gained a great victory
just by defending that small plot. We also need to defend our devotional time. If we
meet with Him morning by morning, we will learn of and see His love.
Mentoring
Proverbs 27:17 Matthew 10:8
We need another person with us to get us sharp and keep us that way. As we receive
in this way, we should also be prepared to mentor someone else. While we need to learn
about healing the sick and so forth, these things are best caught rather than taught.
Spending time with someone actually doing it is the best way to learn it.
Scripture Memory
Psalm 119:11 Deuteronomy 30:14
Key verses learned can help keep us from sin and bring us closer to God.
Small Group
Ecclesiastes 4:10 Acts 17:11
A Bible Study group or other small group is the best place to get help and to encourage
us to grow. A group of people studying the Bible together can learn more and keep each
other going.
Large Group
Psalm 27:4 Romans 12:4
Just being with a large group of people in praise and worship can be an amazing thing.
Also, everyone has different abilities so a large group can allow everyone to do what they
do best for the benefit of the group.
Maturity
Colossians 2:7 Philippians 1:6
After we spend some time learning, we become established in faith. We never fully
arrive, this side of Heaven, but continue to grow.
Living
Jesus is Lord
II Cor 5:17 Galatians 2:20
If I have received Jesus, then I am a new creation. I live in Jesus and Jesus lives in
me.
Bread
II Tim 3:16-17 Joshua 1:8
The Bible is the bread of life. It should be our daily sustenance for this new life.
Wine
Phil 4:6-7 Hebrews 13:15
As well as time studying God's Word, the Bible, we need to spend time in prayer, praise
and worship. This can draw the Holy Spirit into our lives. This is the wine.
Community
Matthew 18:20 Hebrews 10:24-25
We cannot live this new life on our own. We need others around us.
Outreach
Matthew 5:16 Romans 1:16
As we grow closer to Jesus and see what a difference He makes, we will want to share Him
with others.
Changed Life
Galatians 5:22-23 James 1:22
We do not learn about Jesus to increase our knowledge, we do it to change our lives.
